Queen's Blade... what anime fan hasn't heard of this franchise known for its all-female cast and overtly (sexualized) busty characters who do battle amongst themselves? Well, for those who haven't, good for you; you deserve a pat on the back. As for the rest of us sinners who have even heard (or even watched the thing), Korean developer Liveplex decided to make an MMO out of this Queen's Blade. CBT is slated for Q1 2012. Just reading this, you'd probably go "wtf is this?" if you're a normal sensical person or "YESSU" for the Ecchi fans. Add MMO into it and it's probably a nice big "NO", as this fairly NSFW trailer would prove it, right from Siliconera.
The Guild Wars 2 Panel at Comicon discussed the future of the MMO series. As its predecessor, Guild Wars 2 will be a one-time purchase, with expansions rather than a pay to play model, like World Of Warcraft. Click on to read more!

Imagine if an American Stewart tank teamed up with a German King Tiger to push away a soviet Russian tank destroyer. Aside from the fact that Nixon would have probably loved that, you can actually make that possible in a new MMO tank simulator called World of Tanks. The game, still in closed beta, is the rumored first in a very long line of military sims. It allows you to take command of the cockpit of many Russian, German, American (coming soon), British (coming soon) tanks, tank destroyers, and artillery platforms.
The game does have some reality issues for the sake of keeping a balanced game and ladder system. However, the tanks are very realistically modeled from top speeds and ammunition to compartment placement. You can get hit in the ammo rack, treads or even your optics if you're a long distance fighter. The game mechanics are similar to that of a first person shooter if you are a tank destroyer. But the prize for originality goes to the artillery mechanics. When you stop and zoom you can use ally feedback to locate enemy tanks and adjust your own coordinates to shoot down a moving target from across the field. Everything about this is realistic from hit box calculation to time till impact. I love the mechanics even if there are some realism problems like one cannot move over a slope of greater than thirty degrees or that some tanks are given powers that they originally didn't have to allow for a more balanced game.
Overall I just wish the game had some better graphics but it's still in beta, so that doesn't really matter yet. The game rewards beta testers with in game money which will soon become the currency for all of its real financial transactions. Speaking of which, the game actually has a great in game conversion rate. 1 gold can get you about $400 in game. The world of tanks crew is still accepting beta key applications so apply for one today! Some places actually have extra gifts if you use a third party so good hunting.
