I've had the PS Vita since it launched back in late February. After a month and a half of games, demos, videos, group chatting, and pretty much everything else, I feel confident enough that I could give a review on it.
The Playstation Vita, which was just released in Japan, finally has a list of launch titles for the USA. It's a pretty hefty list, coming in at 25 titles for the first day. The Vita is shaping up to have a very good launch. Here's the list:
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is a game that has a lot riding on its shoulders. It's the end of a trilogy that has featured nothing but critically acclaimed games. It's also the year's flagship exclusive for the Playstation 3, and one of the year's most anticipated games. Does this game raise the bar for the action genre like its predecessor did, or is it just the same as Naughty Dog's other outings?
Hideo Kojima's highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for the PS3 will also be released on the Vita! During last night's Sony Entertainment press conference, Kojima announced that the game will be on both consoles, with his new 'transfarring' feature enabled, meaning you will be able to use your saves on both systems. These versions will be identical, and will include Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (with Metal Gear 1 and 2) and Peace Walker.
In addition to this news, Sony has also announced that most downloadable PSP titles will be compatible with the Vita. These games will also support the second analog stick included on the new console. Sony is also considering a way for UMD owners to transfer their games onto the Vita.
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is one of the most anticipated PS3 games of the year, and the sequel to one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2009. The series is well known for its cinematic characteristics and well paced single player campaigns. In Uncharted 2, Naughty Dog brought its fans a robust multiplayer mode, complete with both competitive and cooperative gameplay modes and a leveling system. The beta just ended, and I'm here to give you a preview of the improved multiplayer portion of the game!

Uncharted 3's beta began earlier this month, and the first thing players will noticed is the improved pre-game interface. Players are allowed to choose their player model for both teams, just like in Uncharted 2, but this time you may unlock gears to customize your character's look. Each character has his or her own set of items to equip, which seem to cause no in-game effect. I was unable to figure out the amount of items that will be available, since the beta's selection was extremely limited. There are also perks, a-la Call of Duty, but they suit the game well, and don't feel like a huge ripoff. The interface also sports a cool feature that hasn't been seen in many games, Uncharted TV. It's a window that sits in the lower right corner of the menu, playing different videos related to the game. It can be muted, unmuted, and stretched according to the player's preferences. This feature may seem annoying and unwanted, but it adds a sense of activity and community to the game.
Sony has announced more details about their new handheld system. The name "NGP" is now gone. Long live the "Playstation Vita" (Pronounced Vee-tuh)! The name is taken from the Latin word for "Life."
The design of the system has not changed since the last time it was revealed, so it still has the dual analog sticks and the front and back touchscreens. There will be two versions of the Vita (or PSV, if you prefer): a WiFi/3G model and a WiFi only one. In North America, 3G service will be provided exclusively by AT&T (On a side note, when the carrier was announced, the audience jeered).
Several games have already been announced for the handheld:
The price for the WiFi/3G model is $299/ €299/¥29,980, and the WiFi-only model is $249/ €249/¥24,980.
Sony plans to release the Vita globally by the end of this year.

As you may already know, PlayStation Network has been down for almost a week for its 70+ million users. However, what you may not know is that PSN user information has been exposed. Your own personal data may very well be in the hands of hackers. Read on to find out more.
So we're all excited about the official unveiling of the Xperia play, Sony Ericson's new PSP phone. For all of you still left in the dark about the capabilities of this system, I'm more than happy to hand you a light after the jump.
Also known as the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, now you can play commercial games on a phone. The official unveiling is announced to be on February 13th @ 18:00 GMT (That would be 1PM to our East Coast readers) on Sony Ericsson's Facebook. Of course, there are quite a few concerns that anyone who decides on buying this phone should be worried about, such as battery life, gaming performance, as well as its original function as a phone. Not to mention that it lacks the keyboard that the Sony Ericsson Xperia has.
There have been a lot of rumors floating around about Sony's PSP2. Rumors like: It has a touch screen, super sensitive controls, internet access, and the ability to look into a pocket dimension where everybody knows your name and is always glad you came if you tilt it on a 45 degree angle while singing Ice Ice Baby. Granted some of these rumors simply couldn't be true, a super sensitive touch screen "HAH" I call shenanigins on that one. Fortunately Sony revealed the PSP2 today so we finally know fact from fiction.
The new system, codenamed the NGP, features a touch sensitive screen thats larger than it's predecessor's at 5 inches, 3G capabilities, dual analog sticks, Tilt-sensitive SIXAXIS controls (motion sensitive controls that provide 6 degrees of freedom) Front and Back facing camera's, no UMD drive, and according to Sony, it's just as powerful as the Playstation 3. Each system comes pre-installed with "NEAR" a system that will allow users to find out what friends close to them are playing and to share game information and meet up virtually "across the dimensions of time and distance." Here's a list of all the tech this thing is packing.
