Immerse Yourself in the Creed

Written by

A good video game is one that immerses the player deeply in it's world regardless of how realistic that world is. One of the most effective ways to do this is to make use of a consoles unique hardware and systems. In the "classic" era of video games there wasn't much that could be done to simulate this feeling. However using the technology of our modern era, game designers are capable of creating fluid controls that make the player feel like they are doing more than simply controlling a character.

A prime example of these fluid controls in action can be seen in Ubisoft's upcoming game for the PS Vita, Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation. Their latest trailer not only shows Aveline's various weapons in action, but also showcases her unique fighting style and methods for navigating the city streets and bayou. Most importantly it reveals how the player would make use of the front touch screen to flawlessly move from target to target and the back touch pad to make movement actions such as rowing seem that much more realistic. Check out the trailer after the jump to see innovation in action for yourself.
