In what can only be expressed as "a blink of an eye," we're already at the mid-point of the Summer 12' anime season. And now that we're here, I'll admit I was tempted to write out yet another one of my mid-season impressions, listing my picks for best anime of the season. But after starting that post, I realized that TARI TARI, my pick as the best new show for the summer season, is something that's so amazing that I could write an entire post just detailing why. So here it is, everything you've wanted to know about TARI TARI and why it's not only one of the most underestimated shows of the season, but why it's risen to become my favorite. **SPOILER-FREE.

Summer 2012 Anime - Quick Impressions:

With the start of the Summer 2012 anime season comes time again for some quick first impressions. Today, I'll talk a little bit about a few of the new series topping my list so far: Campione!, Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse, Sword Art Online, and Tari Tari. Lagrange S2 and Horizon S2 are topping my list as well, but as they're sequels rather than brand new, I have excluded them from this list.

There will be some small plot spoilers, but nothing more than you'd find from the basic descriptions of the series you'll find on MyAnimeList and/or other similar sources. If anything, they'll be based on the first episode or two and won't spoil your enjoyment of the series should you choose to watch them.

Challenge: Russian Roulette with a Little Sister.

Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru!, or Nakaimo for short, is adapted from light novels, of which there have been six volumes released to date. A manga adaptation of the novels has also been released and is on it's first volume currently. However, the anime is a totally different beast, filled to the brim with lovely ladies and animated by Studio Gokumi (last season's Saki Episode of Side A is one of their works). Expect trickery, red herrings, and other landmines in the first episode.
