Last month we reported that there were plans for a Naruto spinoff anime series based on the misadventures of Rock Lee and company. The official website for the Naruto SD: Rock Lee no Seishun Full-Power Ninden anime which is based on a manga of the same name began streaming a 30 second promotional video today. The new series will replace Bleach once it finishes airing and is being animated by Studio Pierrot. It is scheduled to premiere April 3, 2012 in Japan. You can check out the PV for the series below the jump.
After 8 Years and 350+ episodes, has the Bleach anime series finally hit its end? The seemingly un-ending series is scheduled to air it's last episode on March 27, 2012. After that it will be replaced by a Naruto spinoff which follows the antics of Rock Lee. It was inevitable for the series to come to an end considering that the manga it's (sometimes loosely) based on announced it's final story arc recently. However the announcement is still quite unexpected considering its track record with filler episodes. Rumors say the series may be going on hiatus or will release several OVAs to finish up the story but they remain unconfirmed at the time of writing this.
